Connect Stream Deck
Use the Corral plugin and a keypad device to run window actions from hardware keys.
Prepare the requirements
- Check Pro access and Corral’s window-control permissions.
- Install and run the Stream Deck app. The integration guidance states that Stream Deck 7.1 requires macOS 13 or Windows 10 version 2004 or later.
- Connect a supported keypad-style Stream Deck device.
If Corral cannot find the app, it offers the Stream Deck app download. Install it and recheck before continuing to plugin installation.
Install the plugin and approve the connection
Open integration settings
In General → Integrations → Stream Deck, check that the app is detected, then install the plugin.
Run the plugin in Stream Deck
Complete installation and connect your keypad device. Check that the integration is enabled in Corral.
Approve the request
When approval is required, verify that this is the connection you started, then approve it in Corral.
Add and run an action
Add Corral Action in Stream Deck, select the desired window action, and run it.
Choose actions for keys
Corral Action can select custom layouts, snapshots, and other window actions. The 11 built-in layouts are also offered as fixed layout actions.
Corral does not create or overwrite your Stream Deck profiles or existing default-profile actions. Arrange folders and keys yourself in Stream Deck.
Check connection states
| State | What to check |
|---|---|
| Waiting for plugin | Run or reinstall the Corral plugin in Stream Deck. |
| Approval required | Approve the connection request in Corral. |
| Waiting for device | Connect a supported keypad device. |
| Incompatible version | Follow the plugin-update guidance. |
| Local port conflict | Another process is using the connection port. Check duplicate running instances before arbitrarily terminating processes. |
| Connected | Activate a normal window and verify the key’s action. |
Unlink and reconnect
Unlinking Corral removes the approved connection only. The installed plugin and your configured actions remain, but cannot run Corral actions until approval is restored.
Closing or disabling the plugin returns it to a waiting state. The same previously approved installation can reuse its approval when it reconnects.
