  1. Choose Open next to the permission.
  2. Allow the corresponding permission for Corral in System Settings.
  3. Return to Corral and recheck all permissions.

Windows Snap windows setting

Choose Open in Corral’s prompt to open Windows settings, then turn off Snap windows so Corral can manage window placement directly.

If PowerToys FancyZones is enabled, both tools may try to place the same window. Disable FancyZones or quit PowerToys before using Corral Window Snap.

Avoid running FancyZones alongside Corral snapping

  1. Open the system tray at the right of the taskbar.
  2. Right-click PowerToys and open its settings.
  3. Under its window-management category, open FancyZones and turn it off. Alternatively, quit PowerToys from the tray.
  4. Return to Corral, recheck the status, and drag a normal window.

Action neededRequired setup is not complete.Open the relevant setting and complete it.
Permission check errorCorral could not determine the current state.Check system settings directly, then recheck all permissions.
GrantedThe checked permission requirement is satisfied.Apply an arrangement to a normal window to confirm actual behavior.

On macOS, automatic checking runs for up to five minutes. If it times out, recheck manually. You do not need to disable system security as a whole to resolve a permission error.

Confirm that setup worked

Check that the required permissions show as granted. If an action-required state or error remains, inspect the corresponding setting and recheck it.

When setup is complete, continue to arranging your first window.
