Download from an official source

macOS

Download the macOS DMG from the official release page, install it, and open Corral.

Open official macOS releases ↗

Windows

Install the app from its Microsoft Store page.

View Corral in Microsoft Store ↗

Open settings

Open Corral from the menu bar on macOS or the system tray on Windows. If the permissions screen appears at first launch, complete those settings first.

You can then start the window-arrangement walkthrough. Choose to do it later if you would prefer to explore it another time.

Update and reopen the app

macOS updates

When an update notice appears, open the release page using the update-page button. Check the download and operating-system requirements in the release notes. Quit Corral while installing, then reopen it as instructed.

Windows updates

Manage updates through Microsoft Store.

If permissions are requested again after an update, recheck their status before removing the app or disabling security features. A failed update check does not mean the installed app is damaged.

Why the app may keep running after you close its window

With the menu-bar-only or tray-only quit option in General → Behavior → Exit, closing settings leaves window management running. To quit completely, choose Quit in the menu bar or tray.

Choose the always-exit-on-close option if you want closing settings to quit the app. Whether settings opens at startup and whether the app starts at login are separate choices. See General settings for the differences.

When do I need to sign in?
