Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the basic rules for using the Corral desktop window management application and its related services ("Service"), published by Liv Team ("we", "us", or "our"). By installing or using Corral, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Corral is a desktop window management application for macOS and Windows that provides window snapping with built-in and custom presets, layout undo/redo, sticky resize, layout snapshots, window swap, cloud synchronization, and related features. Corral requires operating system accessibility permissions to manage window positions.

2. System Requirements & Permissions

  • Accessibility Permissions: Corral requires macOS Accessibility API access or Windows input hook permissions to function. The application will prompt you to grant these permissions on first launch. Core window management features will not work without these permissions.
  • Administrator Mode (Windows): The optional Smart Fullscreen feature may require the Corral Agent helper process with elevated privileges to manage windows from applications running as administrator (e.g., Task Manager). This is opt-in and not required for basic functionality.
  • Conflicting Software: Corral may detect and warn about software that conflicts with its window management features (e.g., Windows PowerToys FancyZones). We recommend disabling conflicting tools for the best experience.

3. Accounts

Some features, including cloud sync and feedback, require a Corral account authenticated through Clerk. You may sign in with email or a supported SSO provider. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

You may request account deletion through the in-app account settings. Deletion timing for connected service data may depend on follow-up backend or provider processing for the service involved.

4. Plans & Features

  • Free Plan: 11 built-in window presets, up to 2 custom layouts, sticky resize, layout snapshots, window swap, and 3 undo/redo actions per window.
  • Pro Plan: Everything in Free, plus unlimited custom layouts, unlimited undo/redo, Smart Fullscreen (Windows), cloud sync across devices, and all online features.
  • Promotions: If we offer a free launch period or similar promotion, we will describe it in the app or on this website at that time. After that period ends, some Pro features may require a subscription or other active access.

We reserve the right to modify the features included in each plan. Material changes will be communicated in advance through the application or this website.

5. Payment & Subscriptions

If we introduce paid plans, purchases or subscriptions may be processed through an app store, storefront, or supported billing provider depending on platform and region. Payment processing, billing cycles, automatic renewals, and refunds are governed by that platform or billing provider. We do not directly store payment card information.

6. User Content & Feedback

Corral includes a community feedback system where you may submit feature requests and bug reports, and vote on submissions from other users. By submitting content:

  • You retain ownership of your submitted content
  • You grant us a non-exclusive license to display, use, and incorporate your feedback into the product
  • You agree not to submit content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes on third-party rights
  • We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms

7. Data & Settings

  • Local Data: Application settings, keyboard shortcuts, custom layouts, and layout snapshots are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your local data. Uninstalling the application may not automatically remove local configuration files.
  • Cloud Sync (Pro): When enabled, your general settings and keyboard shortcuts, layouts, snapshots, and related preferences are synchronized to our servers. Sync may involve automatic conflict resolution when settings differ between devices. You can disable cloud sync at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Corral application — including its design, source code, icons, branding, and documentation — is owned by Liv Team and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

9. Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the application
  • Circumvent license restrictions, feature limits, or authentication mechanisms
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other users' experience
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works of the application
  • Abuse the feedback system (spam, vote manipulation, false reports)
  • Misuse preset exclusion suggestions to disrupt the community exclusion list

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
  • Window management operations will work with all applications or system configurations
  • Cloud sync will resolve all conflicts without data loss

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Liv Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of productivity, or damage to other applications — arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Termination

  • By you: You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the application. You may request account deletion through the in-app settings, subject to any follow-up backend or provider processing needed for connected service data.
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violation of these Terms, abuse of the feedback system, or any activity that threatens the integrity of the Service. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless immediate action is required.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the application or this website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
